Cornwall’s most exciting new beach house

Spreading the word …Barford Beach House

Those folks at Tregulland have done it again – come up with a rather special new house rental for those looking for a cool pad to hire in Cornwall. It’s a beauty!

This time we are heading nearer the coast .. well slap bang on the beach to be precise with Barford Beach House.

The design is playful, innovative, deeply comfortable and a short walk from Widemouth Bay. This generous larch clan building sleeps up to sixteen guests in six ensuite bedrooms with views of breaking surf and access to a small secluded beach, Wanson Mouth.

There’s an eclectic mix of industrial luxe furniture, deep smoked oak flooring, polished brass and silver bateau baths, Moroccan tassel fringed bed throws, vintage angelpoise lamps, modern prints of Bristol (where the owners live) and vibrant art work. A generous use of fabrics from designers such as Romo, Emin, Lewis & Wood and Savannah give an elegant finish to the overall look.

There’s a dramatic copper clad kitchen/dining/sitting room, an outdoor wood fired hot tub and indoor spa and sauna area, the house has possibly the largest master suite we’ve ever seen at almost 50m2. Did we mention there’s a few more decadent touches here too such as its own cocktail bar, private terrace and huge William Holland brass bath?

Add to this ‘The Bunker’, a secret underground adult games room/bar with an awesome sound and lighting system, pool table, retro arcade games and a classic pinball machine, there is ample room for late night parties which won’t disturb guests who have opted to retire earlier.

This is just a glimpse at a few of the gorgeous rooms .. go see for yourself you won’t be disappointed!

Explore the Welsh Coast in 80 Days with Celtic Trails’ new ‘Walking Sabbatical’

Do you have any upcoming decisions to make and can’t seem to focus? Take a leaf out of the Prime Minister’s book and book a long distance ‘walking sabbatical’ along the Welsh coast to totally clear your mind.

To make things as easy as possible, walking gurus at Celtic Trails have produced a brand new walking sabbatical, taking in the spectacular Welsh Coast over 80 days!

Longer than walking the classic Camino de Santiago (but without the summer heat and crowds of Spain), but shorter in distance than Land’s End to John O’Groats, the route is the perfect ‘out of office’ challenge for those looking for a Spring or Summer escape, or maybe those who are lucky enough to have the flexibility to just take off.

The 80 night trip covers 870 miles over 69 days of Welsh coastal walking- with 11 well-deserved rest days factored in allowing holidaymakers to hang up their walking boots and try dolphin spotting, mini golf, ice creams indulging and fish n chips.

A Christmas Poem

A Christmas Poem!

Are you ready for Christmas? We certainly are

As it’s been a busy year here at FRPR.

We’ve travelled round the globe to far-flung destinations

In search of adventure and creative travel collaborations.

We’ve pitched and researched and are on top of new trends

So we can present our clients well to our media friends.

With a good dose of crazy, our enthusiasm never fails

Whether its Lapland, Nicaragua, Iceland or Wales!

From ice yoga to glamping, if you want sunshine or snow

We can gladly recommend the very best places to go!

What about a detox or a Super Jeep ride

Or surfing the best waves with an expert guide?

In-between the deadlines, which we do our best to meet,

We’ve found time to create content, to brainstorm and tweet.

We’re thrilled to offer advice for your social media needs

Encouraging the British public to travel beyond their feeds.

We’ve squeezed so much in, a recharge is required

But we’re closing the year feeling proud and inspired.

We’ll relax and refresh before we start the new year

With maximum momentum and bucket loads of good cheer.

So, thank you for believing in us. What a great year it’s been

Working with media and clients who we hold in high esteem.

Best wishes to you all for fabulous festive celebrations

And merry Christmas from us all at Fiona Reece Public Relations.
